5.0 star star star star starEthan is thorough and knowledgeable but also very kind and reassuring. He takes the time to talk to you and makes you feel relaxed, even when you may have just received troubling results. He is the kind of young man you'd like however your paths crossed. I feel lucky to be in his care.

5.0 star star star star starMr. Ethan gets back to you timely, he has explained all my results to me. I had a right side mastectomy in 2013. I have had a recent , very small mass , now seen on the left side, confirmed by my recent MRI and mammogram done last week and this week. Mr. Ethan, knows how important after my test, to see him for further explanations and he knows I am "OCD", when it comes to my breast health and my fears. He is calming , but honest with me. I have a much better understanding of my required follow up in 6 months and if anything else comes up, I can always reach out. Breast Cancer is such a scary disease and is so different for every patient including our responses. Life is never quite the same, but with the team I have at Northwestern, it certainly makes this journey, a bearable one. I sincerely thank you!

5.0 star star star star starEthan Hixson is a treasure. He is a wealth of information. He has a fabulous bedside manner and he makes every visit so much easier when you have had breast cancer. I am amazed by how much he knows and how he is able to make it palatable for the patient to understand. It's so obvious how much he actually cares and you can feel that because when you're there sometimes you're feeling a a little bit nervous. He makes you realize that you are going for your good health and then makes you feel good about yourself as well.

4.0 star star star star star_borderMy visit went better this time than last. I feel like last time I was there Ethan told me worst case scenario which maybe wasn't that useful and ultimately just scared me. He's nice and approachable but maybe because he's a guy (?) he didn't kind of relate. I mean that's not his fault. This visit was fine and straight forward.

5.0 star star star star starThis was my first appointment with him. Communication can be awkward when meeting a new health provider, but that was not the case. He was up to date on my history, asked pertinent questions and listened/noted my answers. I felt at ease and was very pleased with how the appointment went.
