Listens to our concerns. Takes time to explain things to us. Never feels like he is rushing to get to the next person when he is with you I feel like he only cares about you.

I believe he is a great doctor. He is very knowledgeable, and is capable of using language that will allow the patient to understand what he means, yet never making the patient feel inferior for not already knowing these facts. He states at the beginning that his schedule is always full to the brim, but he never makes you feel guilty, never suggests you're imposing, never glances at the clock. In my lifetime, I have had 4 or 5 doctors with that skill, or is it the knowledge that healing takes time, and he is willing to give it.

Dr. Malkani was very thorough and responsive and spent a lot of time discussing my health and sleep issues. I felt he was very knowledgeable and offered several suggestions to treat my headaches and sleep problems. He spent time addressing all of my questions and concerns. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend him to patients with sleep issues, although his schedule is very limited.

External Professional Relationships

Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
