5.0 star star star star starDr. Cooksey strikes me as very competent. I did not feel rushed. I did feel listened to---and she offered so much information in a relatively short period of time. She was well worth the drive---and the time to get an appointment. I am grateful.

5.0 star star star star starAll the people in the department, make sure everything was ready when the doctor walked in. She was polite and efficient at the same time.. she explained to me what she was looking at, and how she interpreted all the information from the machines. She made me feel very comfortable and confident in the plan going forward.. The fact that she was told me I was well and I didn't need to come back for a year was just icing on the cake.

5.0 star star star star starVery kind, attentive, and thorough. Immediately thought I may be anemic due to the symptoms I was describing. Very glad she caught what my general practitioner and pulmonologist have missed for the past year that was causing other symptoms.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
