5.0 star star star star starShelly read my background information and was able to respond to all of my issues with comments, questions and answers. She spent more time with me than her predecessor ever did. Since I am a new patient for her I was glad she was willing to get to know me and discuss my concerns.

5.0 star star star star starShelly is very professional! She has extensive knowledge as an NP. She takes the time to listen to your concerns, does a thorough review of your history with you, reviews previous test and explains the outcomes using nomenclature understandable by a non-medical person. Shelly does the extensive follow up pertaining to outpatient care.

5.0 star star star star starShelly Bauer is very professional in every aspect of her services. During my visit, she was well prepared for the follow up to my recent hospitalization. She reviewed my test, requested further information from the neurologist regarding possible incomplete information on a test with regards to medical procedures. She checked my recovery from suspected TIA by having me demonstrate strength, looked for vision concerns. She reviewed blood , MRI, and other test results taken during my hospitalization. She is knowledgeable, though, and empathic.

5.0 star star star star starShelly is truly one of the best healthcare providers I've ever had. She's kind, attentive, and takes the time to really listen. I never feel rushed or brushed off_she always makes me feel heard and respected. Shelly explains everything clearly and makes sure I'm comfortable with each step of my care. It's rare to find someone so knowledgeable and compassionate. I feel incredibly lucky to have her as my nurse practitioner and would recommend her to anyone looking for thoughtful, quality care.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
