5.0 star star star star starShe listened to everything I had to say. Didn’t miss anything! She included me in decisions & will in the future when my labs come back. She is down to Earth and just understands. She talks in an easy to understand way. I know medical terms, but she talks to me as if we are 2 friends chatting about an illness. I’m glad she was the one I saw. It was supposed to be someone else, who I’m sure is just as perfect. I have several doctors at Northwestern and I would not change them for anything!!!

5.0 star star star star starExcellent hematologist, reviewed my chart beforehand, and was very organized. Seemed extremely knowledgeable about my condition and made a very detailed plan about how I can proceed. Also explained everything in detail. Answered all of my questions and clarified all of my concerns. Sincerely, I wish more doctors had her approach with their patients. Extremely empathic!

5.0 star star star star starEverything I mentioned above. Also she didn’t talk down to me and I was comfortable asking questions. I feel that she will be honest but kind if she has to give me bad news, and that is important to me. She seems very genuine and she really seems to care about finding me some answers. She did all this without freaking me out and my anxiety was off the chain so that’s saying a lot! Her demeanor put me at ease and she listened to me.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
