5.0 star star star star starDr. Hsu is one of the finest doctors I’ve ever dealt with. He is calm, patient and takes the time to explain your situation clearly and concisely while also listening to your concerns. He explains what options are available to you and offers his recommendations on a plan of action with an eye toward the most pragmatic approach. You walk away with enough information to help you make a sound decision about next steps in your care. Dr Hsu also has a great back-up team that is very responsive to any follow-up questions and concerns you may have.

4.0 star star star star star_borderDr. Hsu seems knowledgeable and competent. After some initial difficulties communicating regarding my condition and treatment options, I had a good interaction over the phone where I was able to get my questions answered and was able to understand the treatment plan.

5.0 star star star star starDr Hsu and his colleague gave me their time, were patient, answered all my questions, and they helped me fully understand all of my options now and in the near future. They explained a few things that were essential to making an informed decision about my treatments. I don’t feel like the doctor pressured me at all or like he was too hands off, but like he wanted to empower me to do what’s best for me now and long term.

5.0 star star star star starHe was informed of my condition and pre-screening before he came in to the exam room. He was able to show me the cause of my pain on the MRI image as he explained it. Dr. Hsu was polite, listened to my concerns, gave me 2 options for treatment and asked which I preferred to try. He set me up for the second option if I needed it in the future. Dr. Hsu answered all of my questions in terms that I could understand.

5.0 star star star star starHe is the very best in his area of expertise. My best friend Dr Val Fugali had surgery on her neck several years ago and it was very successful. My 91 year old mother had stenosis surgery 9 years ago, very successful, and I referred my x boyfriend there 4 years ago for a disc pushing on a nerve, and again, a very successful surgery. His reputation is the best of the best and I felt my conference with him was very good. He explained everything in detail, answered my questions, and was very nice and friendly. His resident who I spoke to first was also very good. Explained my MRI in detail and answered all questions.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
