5.0 star star star star starDr. Stein is my life guard, the person who keeps me informed and understanding about my tests and lifts my spirits when they need it. I cannot speak highly enough about the high regard that I have for her being my doctor. She also was most kind and considerate of my daughter and care giver who accompanied me.

5.0 star star star star starShe is smart and thoughtful about treatment plans. I know that my treatment plan has been a roller coaster since Jan/Feb, but it’s been my plan. My plan certainly has not been cookie cutter. One of the reasons that her plans have been very beneficial, is that I trust her and she trusts me. We are a team. I really wish she had her own nurse and PA. Her NP, Lisa, messaged me today. She is working with Regina today. She saw my platelet number and she messaged me a congrats on my numbers. So thoughtful and kind.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Stein is the best. She takes her time, answers questions in a manner that I can understand and gives me confidence every time I see her. Her friendly and caring manner puts me at ease and makes me feel like I’m talking to a friend, thus encouraging an open honest two/way conversation. If she tells me that I need something, then I know I really need it.

5.0 star star star star starStein is smart, compassionate and works to figure out what's best for each patient. In 5+ years of treatment, she is the only doctor that I have ever seen come into the infusion room. She is very aware of resources for patients. It will be nice when she has a team in place: NP and a nurse.

5.0 star star star star starShe genuinely cares about her patients. I will never forget how she visited me in the hospital in February 2020, although I was there for conditions which were not related to her care. She is just that type of doctor. Whatever your condition is, she is all in, and supports whatever her patient is going through. Today, during my office exam, she noticed hives on my back. I was not aware of this condition. She immediately took a picture of the hives, sent it to my patient file, gave instructions on what to use (Benadryl cream, and hydrocortisone cream), and informed me someone will call me in two days to check on my condition. Dr. Stein is a phenomenal doctor.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
