5.0 star star star star starDr. Winter always shows a great deal of compassion during my appointment. She asks questions, listens to my concerns, and spends time explaining implications of my cancer. She also expresses concern with other conditions I may be experiencing and never hesitates to refer me to an appropriate physician.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Winter saved my life. She’s a straight shooter with me from day one. Brilliant, compassionate but deals with you straight on a plan and approach with an understanding that she’s confident but it’s cancer and with that there is always unknowns. I put my life in her care and it’s the best decision I ever made. The world needs more like her.

5.0 star star star star starDr Winter’s has great knowledge on cancer, in my case, lymphoma. Her judgement and diagnose gives me confidence. She explains the situation clearly, with patience, and understanding. Dr Winter is very kind and sweet. So blessed to have her as my oncologist doctor.

5.0 star star star star starShe was pleasant, to the point, easy to talk to, and confident in her decisions. I loved that she will see us on the same day after the PET scan instead of reading the report and having to wait to talk to anyone about it. She seemed like she was very much on our side.

5.0 star star star star starMy only disappointment over the many years I have seen Dr Winter is that sometimes after making an appointment with Dr Winter I am seen by her assistant instead. Her assistant is also very knowledgeable and helpful, so it’s not a big disappointment.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
