5.0 star star star star starDr Gonsalves explains your condition in ways that you understand what's going on. I have never left her Clinic without a plan and what to do going forward. Easy to talk to, she is great communicator.

4.0 star star star star star_borderToday was my initial appointment with Dr. Gonsalves. She was knowledgeable and took time to answer my questions as best she could. It will take more time to establish a relationship and ongoing care plan. That is when I’ll be able to assess whether I would recommend her to others.

5.0 star star star star starShe is very kind and caring. After seeing her for several years I decided if the rest of the doctors at Northwestern Medicine are anything like Dr. Gonsalves I will switch all of my care here. I now see 6 doctors her and travel from Springfield Illinois, 200 miles. The best thing I have done in a long time.

5.0 star star star star starAll of the above responses relate to my interactions with Dr. Gonsalves. Her overall knowledge and recommendations for immediate next steps were true gifts for me, the patient, in moving forward. Her abilities to assess and then recommend immediate next steps on my behalf were remarkable. I’m truly grateful for her accepting me as a new patient.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
