5.0 star star star star starDr. Wiet is very knowledgeable and explains things so that I fully understand. He instills a lot of faith in me that I chose well when I came to him when my vestibular schwannoma was first detected.

5.0 star star star star starI really like Dr Richard wiet and I appreciate how much time he spent with me during our initial appointment. He was very professional and educated and also relaxed at the same time. I look forward to having him do my cholesteatoma surgery. He made me feel at ease about It.

5.0 star star star star starI was diagnosed in 2019 with a small Acoustic Neuroma. I first saw Dr. Wiet when he was at Rush and he took a very conservative approach with having me rescan in 6 months and then every year after to see if there is any growth. When he moved to Northwestern, I naturally followed him because of how knowledgeable he is about Acoustic Neuromas and also his conservative approach. I continue to have no growth so far each year when I have my rescan. He has always made me feel comfortable with my options and supports my decision to continue to watch and rescan. I can't recommend Dr. Wiet enough.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Wiet is a true professional and is very caring. I am so glad that I was referred to him. I couldn't have been in better hands for the surgery he performed. His pre-surgical and post-surgical care was and is superb.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Wiet is an amazing person and surgeon. He helped me when I felt no one else could. I don't think there would have enough space on this review to praise Dr. Wiet enough. He gave me my life back. He is an expert in his field, there is no doubt about that. It took me 2.5 years to find him and I feel blessed to have him as my doctor. Through my complicated medical situation he has referred me to the top people in the field. The vestibular therapists that I am working with that he referred me to are amazing. I have complete trust in Dr. Wiet.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
