5.0 star star star star starHe understood my situation immediately - that I was visiting from out of town (location), had just heard from my doctor there that the xrays taken on March 17 showed a break in my foot, and that I was advised to go to a walk-in clinic to get stabilized with a boot or crutches so I could return home for care. That's exactly what Dr. Shah did, and I left in a boot that provided immediate relief.

5.0 star star star star starThe doctor with the good hair was very kind, a very good listener, nice to listen to yak on about my pain, even though I was being a nervous Nelly. And did things with my leg that made my hip feel better when I walked out. I left with an MRI order and PT order.

5.0 star star star star starDr Shah made me feel comfortable from the moment I met him. And he is genuinely concerned about my pain. He is thorough when accessing what meds I can and can't take, and he took the time to demonstrate the exercises that he wants me to do with my arm. I am very happy that Dr. [name] referred me to Dr. Shah.

5.0 star star star star starDr Shah was polite and friendly. He was engaging, he explained my full diagnosis to me. He listened to my concerns and was flexible to my wishes with prescriptions. I was disappointed I could not follow up with him. Northwestern needs more doctors like him.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
