5.0 star star star star starI always have doctors that just don't listen and assume. I have a lot of misfortunes with my health, pre-mature birth and genetics that always eel to get over looked and Dr.G absolutely listened to what I had to say and was constructive. Not to mention a doctor that made me absolutely happy to be at the doctors vs the typically condescending negative attitude I typically get. He a great guy to the point ill make sure to do regular check ups with him from now on.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Giambalvo was very thorough in his exam, explaining all the differential diagnoses, why he was checking for specific symptoms to rule out appendicitis, and what the plan would be going forward. He really listened to my daughter's symptoms and my concerns, and it was very validating to hear that Dr. Giambalvo also wanted to make sure appendicitis is fully ruled out. He was very personable and easy to talk to, and did a wonderful job engaging with his patient (my daughter- not an easy feat with a preteen!). Our ER visit on Monday wasn't bad, but we didn't leave with any more answers than we had going in. I'm so grateful we saw Dr. Giambalvo today and finally felt reassured we were on a good path to addressing my daughter's abdominal pain.

5.0 star star star star starMy Doctor of over 30 years retired and I transferred to Dr. Giambalvo. Couldn't be happier with Dr. Giambalvo. Took the time to go over my records and health concerns. I am comfortable trusting my care to Dr. Giambalvo.

4.0 star star star star star_borderDr Giambalvo had a warm personality that made me feel relaxed and secure. He actually listened to my concerns and addressed each one. This is important for me on a first visit to feel at ease with my primary immediately.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
