5.0 star star star star starDr. Payne was an awesome physician and and surgeon for my son's ulna amd radius fracture surgery. He was professional, he listened and didn't try to speed up our conversations because he had to get to the next room and stick to schedule. When in the consultation room a few hours before the actual surgery, he asked me what type of surgery I wanted for my son. I had already sort of made up my mind but I asked him " If thisnws your son, what optionnwould you do?". He didn't give me quick reply. He didn't give me an answer that would make it more convenient for him. He said I'd do it today. So we ended up doing it that night at 9pm. Prior to the surgery he came and spoke to my son and I and reassured everything would be okay. Dr. Payne, thank you.

5.0 star star star star starI am a professional myself and when I deal with another professional that treats his patience like he does and I do that makes you feel very comfortable but has an easy way of going really puts you at ease . And that helps you to concentrate and really listen to what he's telling you you need to have done or what hes recommending with you and consideration at all times for your well being.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Payne is always thoughtful and respectful, and open to exploring various treatment options, while giving thorough explanations each and of his own advice. Whenever there are difficult decisions to be made he does not hesitate to explain the possible negative outcomes as well as the basic goal of treatment and its normal risks. I have thought from the beginning that he is honest and thorough, and this has given me great confidence to follow his advice. I appreciate that at every visit he takes the time to clarify whenever there are questions. I highly recommend Dr. Payne!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
