5.0 star star star star starDr. Reiger was my doctor many years ago before I moved out of Illinois. When I found he was accepting new patients again I called right away. He's been my daughters doctor since she was little. Now he's her children's doctor.

5.0 star star star star starBrent explains things thoroughly and in plain language. He is also a contemporary in terms of his age, so I feel he is more in tune with health items related to our age. He is a great listener and take his time never feel like my appointment is rushed.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Rieger is the most compassionate, patient, and thorough doctor I've ever met. He sits down and listens to what you're saying, doesn't brush it off, and explains treatments thoroughly. I have OCD and fear contamination, and he explained why it's ear wax is important to have. He didn't act like I was crazy or stupid, he listened and educated me, as well as calmed my anxiety. We sat together and went over every medication I'm on and why I'm on it, but not in an accusatory way, just to understand what is going on with me. He made sure I have a psychiatrist (I do), and that I was getting therapy (I am). I never felt like he was rushing to get out the door for the next patient, it felt like we had all the time in the world to discuss why I was there. But in the end we didn't go over my allotted time. I've recommend Dr. Rieger and Northwestern to everyone I know.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
