5.0 star star star star starThe doctor is thorough in reviewing my background and is familiar with my situation. Never seems in a hurry, rather the opposite. Always addresses my concerns and acts to improve situations when possible. Personable. All this makes me assured that Dr. Montpetit has given me her full attention and truly wants to make a difference.

5.0 star star star star starShe has done the best for my health than any other doctor I have had. She put my health first and explained everything so I could understand, and made sure that I understood everything before I left her office. Also she didn't ever rush me.

5.0 star star star star starShe saved my life two times in the 20+ years I have been her patient. This is primarily due to her experience that causes her to go the extra step to make sure that she is not missing a possible symptom of something worse. Had she not followed her instincts I would likely have had heart attacks or worse on both occasions because I tend to be asymptomatic passing the usual tests.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Montpetit is willing to discuss why and how medications are necessary. She was very helpful for me to have a better understanding of my condition. I was very encouraged to have a referral appointment and also I have looked up the resources she recommended.

5.0 star star star star starHad an excellent discussion today of issues of concern. Since I previously had medical care that could impact my future cardiac health I am glad to have Dr. Montpetit review my situation annually and make helpful, thoughtful suggestions to maintain my health. She listened to my description of my current physical condition and also asked good questions. In addition to reviewing recent blood work and prescribing an appropriate test, she suggested a book about diet, exercise, etc. that I plan to read. She was also interested in a book I have read about a Vitamin that people are taking to help minimize atherosclerosis. Dr. Montpetit is knowledgeable and experienced and I trust her to guide my cardiac care.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
