5.0 star star star star starDr. Goldman has been our families surgeon forever. (He’s not as young as you might think lol). From when he came in prior to the procedure to updating my husband while I was in recovery, right down to checking in with me after I returned to my day surgery room, he was kind, concerned and patient. He always has a smile on his face, and true compassion. As I told him today before my procedure, as long as he is my surgeon he could do a heart transplant on me using a pig heart and I wouldn’t be worried or concerned at all, now the whole pig part that’s something different. Thank you Dr. Goldman!

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderHe's an ok surgeon, but my hernia mesh surgery was unsuccessful with him and a recurrent hernia developed within 11 weeks after the surgery! Followed up with him on May 23. He referred me to Dr. Shoener in Geneva for laparoscopic surgery hernia repair. He seemed to want to wash his hands of anymore care for my condition. I was left feeling uncared for. I ended up going to Kish NWM ER in Dekalb on May 27 evening because the hernia was bulging and burning. Cat scan was done showing the hernia was larger than the original one. l feel that Dr. Goldman's should have ordered such a CT scan during my May 23rd follow up with him! I'm very disappointed.

5.0 star star star star starThe first doctor I have met since moving to DeKalb three years ago that possesses a great bedside manner as well as professionalism and knowledge. Both my husband and I left his office feeling extremely relieved today.

5.0 star star star star starHe does not rush to recommending surgery. He discusses first the advantages & risks for surgery. I’ve heard comments from friends: “Your primary care physician sends you to a surgeon; the surgeon immediately recommends surgery.†Dr. Goldman is reasonabke & truly cares for the patient.

5.0 star star star star starDr Goldman and his staff were very accommodating and pleasant . Dr Goldman spent above and beyond time offering for me to ask questions and get help with numerous health concerns . He was very compassionate and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable meeting him for the very first time . I have scheduled a survey with him feeling very confident with his ability to take great care of me and my needs .

5.0 star star star star starThis will be my second surgery by Dr Goldman. The first surgery was pretty major , this next one is a gallbladder removal. I guess what does it for me is the answers I am given to questions I ask make me feel confident.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
