5.0 star star star star starHer listening skills, her vast knowledge and understanding. She includes me in decisions regarding my care often giving me a choice after patiently explaining the background information. Her nearly immediate turnaround on My Chart correspondence. I sense also the respect for her from her staff. She treats them as integral members of the practice instead of just "Worker Bees". She never makes me feel rushed or that she has invested too much time in for my appointment.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Gierut has been very helpful for multiple problems that were challenging me. She convinced me that I should consider a hip replacement when I was very reluctant to do so. The greater mobility that resulted from following through on that course was fairly dramatic. I am grateful for the good advice.

5.0 star star star star starSee above as well as I can I understand what she is telling me and moreover she is willing to listen to my issues. She diagnoses osteoarthritis but will confirm after an mri image to compare before and after surgery. As all blood tests and reviews from my prior RA Dr were inconclusive on RA. HOWEVER that was "ok" to proceed with what my previous RA Dr coined as a Medicine that is state of the art.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Gierut is knowledge about Rheumatology, and overall health and wellbeing. She not only listens to what I say, but what I do not say. She follows up with questions to ensure I understand the impact of my choices on my condition and wellbeing.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
