5.0 star star star star starDr Lissner is very thorough in the post-op visits. He examined my eye and incision carefully and thoroughly, and noticed a few sutures were rubbing my eye, so he went ahead to remove the sutures though they are supposed to dissolve by themselves. This made my eye feel a lot more comfortable. Thanks for his caring.

5.0 star star star star starDr Lissner is excellent. He took the time explaining the surgery plan to me and answered all my questions. He even called at the weekend to give detailed instructions on how to prep for the surgery. Before and after the surgery, he came to talk to me again expressing his care. I feel confident and comfort in his care.

5.0 star star star star starThis is my first time to see Dr Lissner. He took the time to carefully exam my eyes and then explained the problems to me. He also answered all my questions. He even taught me a temporary way to ease the problem so that I’ll feel better before the surgery.

5.0 star star star star starI had a worst case situation of skin cancer removal on my eyelid. After two surgeries, I am not holding my breath any more as to what I may look like. The doctor explained everything to me, a few times, as I was in shock earlier on, and I appreciate his conservative nature and willingness to answer questions. His "assistant" Don [ ] is tops. Always professional, willing to help, gets my MyChart questions answered right away, etc. He is great.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
