I was a longtime patient of Dr. Taiwo, who has moved onto to continue his valued research for a cure of HIV. Dr. Taiwo recommended I continue my care under Dr. Achenbach. This April 3rd appointment was our first meeting and I could not have been more pleased and happy with the transition.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Achenbach. He has been instrumental in my ability to enjoy my post cancer, post cellulitis life by educating, supporting and managing my prophylactic antibiotic therapy for 13 years now. I travel from Michigan, where I now live, to Chicago to stay in his care. I appreciate the time he takes to listen to me, answer my questions and see me promptly. He is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about his infectious disease work and research. And he is just a plain good human...asking me about my and my wife's current lives. Please share with him. I am so so grateful. And NMH is lucky to have him in their corner.
