5.0 star star star star starDr. Caprio took the time to actually listen to me _ details and all _ and explained my health issue and her medical opinion at length. Finally, I felt both seen and heard and in today's world of the 15 minute appointments, that's a rarity.

5.0 star star star star starExcellent doctor; very pleasant and always very well prepared for our appointments; always take the time to respond fully to questions and concerns and ask further follow up questions. I am always advised of what additional actions (or range of actions) may be required going forward and why. Also, she always remembers (without any prompting from me) to make sure she keeps my primary advised of any significant changes.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Caprio was very patient, understanding and invested while I explained the events that led up to my condition. Although I took up more time than my appointment was allotted she didn't seem to rush through our discussion regarding my care or get frustrated with me. She explained my diagnosis in layman's terms without being condescending. Answered all my questions. Provided a simple path forward and follow on instructions for my continued care.

5.0 star star star star starShe had reviewed all the information on my case, was extremely personable, explained everything well, did not "dumb it down", and was very thorough. I did not feel that in any way was the consultation rushed. I left with a reasonable plan for future review.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
