5.0 star star star star starDr. Martin is very informative and helpful when guiding us through our daughter’s milestones. He has provided a variety of well informed options for us to try when we had questions about allergies, illnesses, sleep training, nutrition, and behaviors. We appreciate his guidance.

5.0 star star star star starHe’s been my daughter’s pediatrician for a few years now. He has experience with his own children, he will work to find out what works for your child, he speaks in terms you (as a non-medically educated parent) can understand and truly cares about your children

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderWhile doctor was friendly and knowledgeable I feel like he didn’t really listen to my concerns. This was a walk in appointment for an infant who has had the same symptoms for almost a week. While it may have been a minor diagnosis I would at least like to feel heard instead of brushed off with statistics thrown at me.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderI spoke to Dr Martin about the incident and he cited “safety†as the justification for needing to hold down a toddler on his back. He did not take the time to listen to what happened or explain in any detail the protocol.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderThe doctor seem very insensitive and like he was rushing through my child's appointment. However the ladies at the front desk and the medical assistant were very nice. I was just meeting doctor Martin for the first time and I will not be taking my child back to him. He seemed very judgmental asking why I didn't get my child evaluated sooner but I didn't see a problem with his progress until 2 1/2 almost 3 years old. Dr Martin was shaking his head as he talked to me like shame on you. Then the resources he wrote down no longer do medical evaluations and he didn't give me specific numbers just the names of the places.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderHe at first was very sure it was one condition. Then I said something and he started doing a check and ruled out that condition. I think if he were more thorough he would have checked at first himself to rule out that condition without me having to prompt him.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderWe feel he is short and does not have any answers to our questions. I told them yesterday we would be 10 minutes late which we were 11, and he had a smart comment about being late during our meeting.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderThe doctor was clearly uncomfortable and didn’t spend sufficient time with me and my daughter. If he is afraid of germs or covid, he shouldn’t be in the business of treating sick children.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Martin is very funny and he makes my son feel comfortable. He has been seeing him since he was a baby and even remembers certain things about him without even looking at the computer. The nurses were very nice also. The visit went quick.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
