Kind and caring … listened to me and followed up with a concise report on a possible serious problem… I’ve seen a few others for the same issue for but never got to that level of exam… usually just what I call internet advice.. do this don’t do that … but no definitive answer … this was good !!!

Excellent patient care and a provider you can trust. I would recommend Dr. Kia to anyone facing gastric issues. She is a physician that communicates, partners with you, and offers emotional support during treatment. Dr. Kia is a physician who gets it. She also engages other members on your care team.

Dr. Kia is excellent!! She's very knowledgeable, explains things well, and was very patient in addressing all my concerns in layman's terms that I could understand. She was also extremely responsive in an email exchange when I reached out to her on a Friday to seek guidance on an issue I was having for which needed her input going into the weekend.

She was friendly knowledgeable and remembered our conversation per phone from over a year ago. She reviewed my Medical information and discussed my future plan of care and I truly have no worries. Drive in from Indiana and it was well worth the drive. Very caring doctor snd staff.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
