5.0 star star star star starSee above. I feel Dr Lee assessed my pre procedure condition (dehydration and high heart rate) and responded with the right protocol to make this a very easy screening because: 1)Dr Lee didn't waste time - no long downtimes sitting in a pre-procedure room waiting 2)Dr Lee effectively communicated the results and discharge with my husband even though I was not yet awake (didn't feel like we were waiting around to get discharged). Not only was the colonoscopy itself uneventful, it was not a stressor for my spouse and when I returned home, I rested comfortably and was 100% the next day. I have taken family members to other hospitals for their colonoscopies and in comparison, I'm so glad I waited the 6-8 months to be seen by Dr Lee.

5.0 star star star star starWith Dr. Lee performing my colonoscopy, I felt confident that I was in the care of an experienced and trusted physician who prioritized quality care. He thoroughly explained the procedure beforehand, ensuring I never felt rushed and had the opportunity to ask any questions.

5.0 star star star star starDr Tom Lee was fully professional, thorough and thoughtful. He carefully guided me thru what a positive Cologuard test result meant, what a followup colonoscopy would entail, what the risks were, and the reasons for having, or not having one. The procedure was flawless and his visit before being released was excellent.

5.0 star star star star starHe did not second guess anything I had to say. He took my concerns seriously and listened to what I was saying. He asked a lot of questions instead of waiting for me to describe everything which I found very helpful. He described what he was observing in a reasonable way and gave a clear path forward.

5.0 star star star star starHe really cares about his patients. He was my doctor before he went to Elgin many years ago and I was happy when he returned to NW. He is such a great listener and he is so smart. I really trust him.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
