5.0 star star star star starDoctor is smart and friendly. He listens and pays attention. He also cited a study, which showed me he is continually learning. This is an important trait for a doctor especially. I would recommend him to others.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Alghafeer inspires confidence in your care from his matter of fact yet, compassionate approach. The apprehension and confusion you may feel when needing to see a rheumatologist can be overwhelming. He makes this albeit lengthy process easier by explaining things, answering your questions, and not making you feel rushed. As well as making sure that you are seeing additional specialists if or when needed. Taking in the patient as a whole not just as individual symptoms.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Alghafeer took time to carefully listen to my symptoms, history and concerns. After listening to me, he then probed for more information that could help in diagnosis. He took time to explain why I was referred and answer my questions. He then ordered diagnostics and prescribed medicine to allow me to sleep relatively pain free through the night.

5.0 star star star star starI am very confident in Dr. Alghafeer's care despite this being a confusing and unavoidably long process. He asks for and listens to your concerns. He explains current findings and potential issues well. His approach is unhurried, compassionate, and calming while still being remarkably intelligent. As these characteristics do not always go hand in hand I feel grateful that I am in his care.

5.0 star star star star starI have been struggling with this health issue for quite some time. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was being heard. Dr. Alghafeer and his staff took the time to listen to me, answer my questions, & come up with a treatment plan.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
