At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
Probably the best experience with any doctor I have had my 40 years. Thoughtful, listened!, asked follow up questions without judgement, thorough, provided the appropriate resources, took her time with me. Amazing.
this was the best appointment I've ever had. Dr. D'Souza sat and just talked things through with me without any rush or expediency. I felt comfortable sharing every single one of my concerns. She and her nurse were phenomenal.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. D'Souza. She listened, asked good questions, and didn't make me feel like she was in a hurry. I had time to ask all of the questions I had, and she took them seriously. She also tried to find other solutions for my high cholesterol, and suggested a visit with a lipid specialist, which was hopeful, since I've been resigned to the fact that I have high cholesterol and can't take statins. I have already recommended her to a couple of people who were looking for a new doctor.
As a young and thin woman, I have often felt like healthcare providers assumed I was healthy and showed very little concern to issues i would bring up. This was not the case at Northwestern. The doctor addressed every single one of my concerns. I left the appointment with a lot more knowledge about my body/health and awareness of steps I need to take for preventative healthcare.
I know I was a little late, so I can excuse some of the time issues, but the doctor never even introduced herself. I transferred doctors since mine is no longer at the office and just felt unwelcomed and like I was a bother to be seen. The one good thing she did was show me my prior blood tests on the computer screen and explain the normal ranges. Otherwise, I felt like I had to advocate for myself a lot and wasn't being listened to. I don't think she looked at my chart at all before I arrived, and I had to re-explain my history with this office. The doctor's follow-up message was also confusing about dosage.
