3.0 star star star star_border star_borderDr. Feder is an excellent physician, however he overbooks his patients and it is frustrating to spend more time waiting than actually be examined. It takes months to get an appointment in opthamology and generally you don't get appointments convenient to your schedule, it is always whatever is available. Meaning I often have to take time off work and because of delays in being seen, I frequently end up sitting hours in rush hour traffic trying to return home.

5.0 star star star star starI like his frank manner. He is a good communicator, which I appreciate greatly! He does not jump to surgery as a primary treatment recommendation when there are other less risky options available.

4.0 star star star star star_borderI have been a patient of Dr. Feder for many years. I want to commend nurse/technician Margo (Marne). She is extremely professional, thorough, efficient and friendly. She clearly told me what she was going to do during the exam before doing it, and even asked permission when appropriate. She is the best nurse/technician I have had over many years.

5.0 star star star star starHe is informed, approachable and explains things in a manner the patient can understand.......Just hate the LONG wait during " schedule time" to see him. I am aware of time with each patient visit varies.

5.0 star star star star starExcellent professional care. In all my experiences with Dr. Feder as well as my observations of him with others, I have noticed a wonderful “bedside mannerâ€. In addition to being a wonderful ophthalmologist, he is respectful and kind.

5.0 star star star star starDr Feder is very conscientious and soft spoken. He communicates what he is doing at all times to put you at ease. Because Dr Feder works with the eye, it requires precision and a gentle touch. At no time during the procedure did I feel uncomfortable but was totally relaxed.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
