5.0 star star star star starAppointment on time and physician spent a significant amount of time establishing rapport and history and encouraging me with a practical plan to re-engage in taking care of my health. She was a good listener and balanced being both direct/motivating and kind/gentle. I left the office with hope and a plan to prioritize my health.

5.0 star star star star starBoth Dr. Schumacher and her nurse Janet were extremely thorough. This was my first visit to this office and I felt we covered everything about my health history. I didn't feel rushed at all and when I had questions, they both took their time to explain things.

5.0 star star star star starShe exhibits all the good traits that I look for in my personal physician. She is professional, knowledgeable, interactive, compassionate, engaging, and caring. Also, she is unafraid to take the time to earn trust while developing a solid relationship with her patients in order to better understand their health needs.

5.0 star star star star starExcellent "bed side manner" on her part. Dr. Schumacher is a top tier listener. Also, she wasn't stumped or intimidated by any of my questions which I have experienced with other providers. I feel lucky to have found her.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
