5.0 star star star star starHe is professional he asked how I was doing.I mentioned that I fell and my wrist still hurt he looked at my wrist he was feeling it to make sure that there was nothing broken or fractured not only checking to see if I had any lymphedema or swelling or anything due to the radiation. I appreciate the extra time he took to make sure I was all right.

5.0 star star star star starDr Shirazi was kind to me from the very beginning of our meeting. He explained the process, he listened, and answered to my understanding. He was always pleasant to speak with about any concerns.

5.0 star star star star starDr. H. Shirazi has been very understanding and supportive of my care thus far. He and his staff have been very gentle as the CT scan and mask molding is not a comfortable process. It was very stressful and triggered some issues of claustrophobia and restraint. So, the care team was (is) very empathetic. One comment that I have been sharing is the small disconnect between the receptionists and the nursing staff. I have work disability forms and letters that need to be updated frequently. This staff seems to be either reluctant to take on the responsibility of completing these forms/letters or is simply unfamiliar with completing them. Regardless, this is an important part of my care and eligibility for care. It is not an option. It is a requirement. It would be much more assuring if the nursing and reception staff would communicate a more agreeable willingness to fulfill this task.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
