At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
Dr. Prickett was prepared, showed me the films of my previous and more recent CAT scan and explained the changes, discussed treatment options if things change ,encouraged questions and answered them completely and so that i could understand the answers and informed me she would talk with my cardiologist about our appointment and the recommendations she had made.
Dr Prickett is perhaps one of the most professional and empathetic physicians that I have ever encountered. I had been having issues with the medication that I had been taking and she throughly canvassed her colleagues and others for a recommendation of a replacement . She is always available notwithstanding her responsibilities as a principal pulmonologist to NWM's Covid practice.
I don't believe I am getting the quality of care from Dr. Prickett or in patient hospital staff. It's feels like if I ask questions about my problem I am being a burden to them. It's like listen and be quiet. I don't judge the diagnosis or treatment, I just want to understand what's wrong and how to care for myself. I started coming to NW because it's supposed to be one of the best hospitals with the best doctors.
They are so thorough and listen to their patients. Everyone in the department is so polite and kind. Dr. Prickett and her nurse, Katie, are amazing. They have walked me through my reactions to medicine with so much diligence and compassion.
Dr. Prickett was on time, professional and kind. She sat with me with for a significicant amount of time, answered all of my questions without judgement, and provided me with great relief. .She followed up with me the following day about my radiographs. I would see her and reccomend her to anyone for pulmonology care.
Dr. Prickett has been the only Dr. to give me treatment for my pulmonary disease that works for me. She listens to what I have to say and then makes a plan that will help me. I would definitely recommend her for pulmonary problems.
Dr Prickett : (1) listens to her patient concerns; (2) ensures she has understood the symptoms and holistic impact by asking a series of related line of questioning (3) reads all related messages in MyChart from me in advance of our call(4) validates the success of my preventive regimens (5) and, once again, practices holistically (6) knows the importance and supports the importance of mental and emotional well-being in addition to my physical respiratory issues.
