5.0 star star star star starDr. Bowen is compassionate, knowledgeable, and thorough. She caught a non-urological conditions which my other specialist had overlooked, and thanks to Dr. Bowen, I was able to get the appropriate treatment in good time.

5.0 star star star star starShe was very kind and thorough during my office visit. She explained what was going on clearly so that I understood. This eased my mind because Ive been bounced between doctors and hospitals and no one really explained what I had going on or any solutions to the issue. It felt good to hear a plan of action.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bowen took the time to listen to me, address all of my concerns and answer questions. I'm trans, and Dr. Bowen made sure to use my correct name and pronouns. I usually get misgendered in healthcare settings, so I really appreciated her doing that.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bowen is fantastic! I was very worried about my health concerns but the doctor took the time to hear me out. My experience was positive and I left the office feeling relieved. I definitely recommend Dr. Bowen!

5.0 star star star star starShe goes above and beyond expectations. When I had surgery in 2020, when she discovered my internal organs werent where they were supposed to be, rather than cutting my entire left side open to get to my kidney, she took an extra 1 1/2 hrs. to position me so she could robotically perform the less invasive procedure. She had been doing surgeries all day and she wasnt finished with mine until 8:30 PM...and she had another one after that. My surgery was supposed to take 3-4 hours and instead took 5-6 due to having to completely reposition me on the table in order to do the robotic procedure which was much easier for me to recover from. A lot of doctors would not have done that after such a long day. Shes the best!!!

4.0 star star star star star_borderThis was a follow up appointment from a visit with Dr Flury in July. I had never seen Dr. Bowen before, and our appointment took 15 minutes. She was nice and professional, but I didn't have much interaction with her.

4.0 star star star star star_borderOnly had a ore op but loved that she did not seemed rushed to get done with our conversation and felt she was engaged. Highest rating I could give at this point because she had not done surgery yet.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
