5.0 star star star star starMelanie is wonderful, the best massage therapist I have ever had. She looks at my chart to know any medical conditions I have had prior to my visit which I really appreciate. She listens to my areas of concern and addresses them I would highly recommend Melanie!

5.0 star star star star starMelanie is fantastic at her job. I've never had a massage therapist who knows what to pinch or pull in order to get muscles to relax. It's therapy and her efforts are helping my health greatly. She is caring, polite, and attentive.

5.0 star star star star starI had the pleasure of working with Melanie, and I can confidently say she has a unique approach to massage therapy that blends the best of both worlds, massage and physical therapy. I came to her with a shoulder injury, and she skillfully targeted specific muscle groups to promote healing and recovery. What stands out most is her communication. She clearly explains the issues she's working on, even providing images to help me understand the problems she's addressing. It's evident that Melanie not only has a deep understanding of the body but also truly cares about her clients' well-being. I felt both relaxed and actively treated throughout the session. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a therapeutic and effective approach to recovery

5.0 star star star star starMelanie was thorough in her explanations of different techniques and was detail-oriented. She addressed inflammation and explained why certain pressure would aggravate or worsen the inflammation. I felt in completely competent hands. This was the first time in a massage that I felt that the therapist truly understood the body, musculature and how to navigate issues. She also offered valuable suggestions for after-care.

5.0 star star star star starMelanie Austin is the best massage therapist I've ever worked with, and that's saying a lot because I've had too many massages in my lifetime to count. Her knowledge of the body is extraordinary and her temperament is kind, patient and professional. I am lucky to have found her at Northwestern Hospital.

5.0 star star star star starMelanie ensures that I am comfortable throughout my treatment. She is consistently checking that the massage movement is not causing too much pain. If she approaches an area that is sensitive she always adjust until that area feels better!! Melanie is AWESOME!! I look forward to my appointments because I know that afterward, I'm going to feel better!!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships.
