5.0 star star star star starShe makes you feel so comfortable and gives you so much information that you really feel good about such a bad thing. Just from the way she speaks, you can tell that she is a genius and that you are going to be ok.

5.0 star star star star starI have a number of medical issues and doctors. In 2010 I was diagnosed with CML. After being admitted to MWMH DR. Altman came into my room and introduced herself to my wife and I. At the time I was expecting a doctor who's name I can't remember today, and I told this to Dr. Altman. She said that he specialized in a different type of leukemia and CML was her expertise. She confidently articulated a treatment plan and then asked the question, " Would you like me to be your doctor ?" Immediately I said yes, and it's still yes today. After 12 years of great care, I highly recommend Dr. Altman to anyone who may be seeking help with CML As unfortunate as it was to get CML, I am so fortunate to have Dr. Altman as my doctor!

5.0 star star star star starMy oncologist recommended her highly and I have friends who say the same. She shared information about treatment and research options calmly and clearly and was patient as I wanted to take notes. She made me feel I could have as much of her time as needed.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Altman, as well as her MA (Jessica?) and fellow, Dr. Numan, were excellent. They made my wife and me feel comfortable and confident from the very beginning. They were amiable, warm and relaxed. We were never rushed; they focused on giving us thorough education and answering all of our questions. They were attentive to us and our needs.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
