5.0 star star star star starHe explained his intentions with the new medication prescribed and time frame for follow up. He was professional and I did not feel rushed. I do think that the visit notes are not dictated quite accurately though. As there were multiple differences in those compared to actual symptoms, history, and reason for visit. This could be due to my not saying enough without prompt and the limited exam. I assumed from chart review and fear of droning on it wasn't necessary. I will be more forthcoming on my next visit and ask the questions that I have. I do have confidence in his response and an optimal outcome

5.0 star star star star starDr Patel and Dr [last name] are the greatest! They are both thorough and deal very direct and forthright with me about whatever is the case... they don't push unnecessary drugs. They are very caring and compassionate.

5.0 star star star star starWe had been referred to Dr. J. Patel by my husband's primary care physician and we were able to see him immediately. When he met with us and realized the situation, he got on the phone and arranged for us to see a specialist at CDH the very next day!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Patel is just as he review say: a good listener and professional. He is a doctor you can ask a question of and he isn't turned off by you questioning him. I trust his knowledge of cardiology.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
