5.0 star star star star starI have seen Dr. Bare for my shoulder, my knee, and another shoulder problem. He figures out the problem and the ways it can be treated, then discusses with the patient how to treat it. Very effective and excellent way to come to a decision about treatment. I totally trust his judgement.

4.0 star star star star star_borderNice doctor, did the surgery well but there's an issue with the incision that was made to repair the bicep tendon and he doesn't seem to care about it. Told me it was scar tissue. I don't think so, there's foreign body under the skin.My last appointment was a total waste of time and money it should be on their dime.

4.0 star star star star star_borderVery competent but way over scheduled. No matter how early in the day I schedule an appt Bare is always late, at least 1/2 hour to as long as 1-1/2 hours. Then when it's finally my turn Bare is rushed trying to catch up and I get 10 min with him.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderMy visit today was very disappointing. My appointment was set for 1:30 and had to wait till 2:30 until Dr. Bare came in to see me. He spoke to me for 3 minutes and then left in which I had to do majority of the talking and ask him the questions for what is going on with my surgery. Provided very little explanation and seemed to be rushing his way out of the appointment. Not worth coming to if I’m going to wait an hour for 3 mins of unsatisfactory consultation for a Pre-Op. I was just then handed a folder and sent out on my way. Very disappointed and upset as this usually does not happen.

5.0 star star star star starI greatly respect and like Dr. Bare. He is knowledgeable and competent, and always speaks directly and to the point. His honesty is so helpful when making medical decisions. I also like his dry sense of of humor!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
