5.0 star star star star starI am giving Dr. Sandhu a score of 10 because I feel he will be the best surgeon for my heart problems. He explained what is needed to correct my heart problem and that I have a high probability of having a good outcome.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Sandhu did an excellent job of listening at the first visit and patiently answering all our questions. He was unusually attentive during our visit and had a pleasant demeanor. The surgery resulted in minimal pain and discomfort. I believe that was largely due to the care taken during the process. The post-surgery visit was even more pleasant and comforting than the first. I highly recommend him and would not hesitate to have him perform another surgical procedure for myself or a family member. His surgical nurse, Michelle, was excellent in every way, especially in explaining in detail what to expect. She was a warm and reassuring presence. The surgery team made me feel well taken care of when I went in, and I felt confident and comfortable with submitting myself to such a procedure. His ICU team was well-organized and thoughtful. The ICU team worked together seamlessly throughout the day and night to provide my care. They were noticeably helpful to one another, taking care of what was needed at hand.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
