2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderToday was the first time I’ve seen him in three months. Absolutely no follow up after surgery from him and another doctor I didn’t know was sent for my one month and 3 month follow up appointments.

5.0 star star star star starDr Walsh is not only very highly qualified, he has an extremely high compassion for his patients, we know he would do anything for us. And he is very down-to-earth & practical which enables him to communicate so well with patients, which is so critical for patients in these difficult circumstances.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderI felt that being a VA patient they were more concerned about my insurance since the Nurse Practitioner and Doctor asked 5x total. I felt like I wasn't listened to and they just had it stuck in their mind that they already had a plan. I was there for a surgery consult which ended up being a physical therapy and x ray recommended visit. Even though I told them that I've been down that road. Also they didn't even do a physical check to see what I was trying to explain to them. I felt unheard and not respected in my opinion about my own pain.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderI am disappointed that the Dr. does not respect how important his patients are and that we also have the right to have a life plan. 15 minutes of waiting is tolerable but more than 1 hour is impossible

5.0 star star star star starDr.Walsh spent the time needed to explain my situation to me in a caring, supportive manner. I would totally recommend him to anyone. Friendly, down to earth and very knowledgeable in a field that is not easy for the normal patient to comprehend.

5.0 star star star star starMy initial meeting with Dr.Walsh was very helpful in that he took time to explain my upcoming surgery as well as he expected outcome. He was very open to questions also, and he explained things so I could understand.

5.0 star star star star starI truly appreciated his knowledge and explanation of my MRI. He spoke in a manner I could easily understand. His PA, [ ], was also knowledgeable and spent a long time explaining my MRI in an understandable manner. They both made me feel completely comfortable.

5.0 star star star star starDr Walsh was the 3rd Neurologist i have seen regarding my issues and unlike the first 2 Dr Walsh sat with me along with his NP explained everything, answered my questions and gave me all the knowledge i needed to understand my situation. Also again i felt comforted that if and when surgery is needed i have all the confidence in Dr Walsh over the previous 2 doctors i met with elsewhere

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
