5.0 star star star star starI can't say enough good things about Dr. Choi. She cares about her patients, includes them in decisions on treatment and readily discusses options. She is both compassionate and knowledgeable - two qualities that are essential.

5.0 star star star star starShe is friendly, patient, a good listener, efficient, clear about treatment options, and goes the extra mile to get insurance approval. In my case, that took extra work on her part. She gave me the option of refusing sedation, which other doctors had insisted upon for a prior identical procedure.

5.0 star star star star starShe was very thorough and explaining what treatments I could be eligible, for. She did some evaluating and was told that I could book an appointment, and that insurance company had to verify and approve the treatments that I need it.

5.0 star star star star starShe was friendly, did a brief exam, listened and immediately understood, clearly explained the next step and the choice whether to have light sedation (which I did not want) and made sure I was scheduled for it before I left. She's a pleasure to have as my 'back doctor'

5.0 star star star star starDR. CHOI LISTENS TO THE PATIENT AND INCLUDES PATIENT IN FUTURE TREATMENT PLANS. SHE IS COMPASSIONATE, DOES RESEARCH IF APPLICABLE AND COMMUNICATES EXTREMELY WELL. WE FEEL SO CONFIDENT WITH HER THAT WE MOVED DEALING WITH PAIN MEDICATIONS AND TREATMENT ALL OVER TO DR. CHOI SO THAT WE ARE SEEN ONLY BY ONE PERSON THAT WE TRUST.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Choi and I had a really helpful conversation about my condition and I felt she listened and understood my concerns. She helped me feel more prepared moving forward, which is very reassuring. She was understanding and professional.

5.0 star star star star starAgain, the way Dr. Choi does the procedure is so much more effective than anywhere else, that I can hardly compare them. I went from having to use an electronic wheelchair to get around the hospital, to walking on my own. Her bedside manner is always so vivacious and kind, that seeing her is a treat. Her work has changed my life significantly.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
