5.0 star star star star starI was particularly grateful to have been able to be seen on short notice. John is an extraordinarily capable surgeon whom I worked with on two other occasions. He’s also possessed of a warm and generous personality, which makes the visit an even greater pleasure, even under painful circumstances.

5.0 star star star star starOf all the ortho doctors I have seen the last 4years everyone recommended knee replacement within 5 minutes after the X-rays. Not doctor John Hafferon. He recommended alternative therapies and I am very happy.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderThis was our first visit so I would hesitate to give a score recommending this doctor. He was friendly, and seemed knowledgeable. It was frustrating because he was the third orthopedic we had seen and he seemed to leave us with less information rather than more. We were led to believe he was a sports specialist but he didn't seem to offer any sports expertise. The soonest MRI appointment we could get is 3 weeks away which is also very frustrating.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderHis questions regarding how I got my job as a Director of Pharmacy was insulting. His professionalism dropped 10,000 points after that. I don’t think that was appropriate and would not be appropriate for me to ask him the same question on how he got his job. I would prefer to see someone else if I need a Ortho.

5.0 star star star star starIt is truly always an honor to interact as a patient with Dr. Hefferon. Despite his great career accomplishments (which he never mentions), he is always completely focused on.my the patient. Also. A shout out to now nurse Margaret who I feel will go on to greet accomplishments as a Nurse Practitioner.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
