5.0 star star star star starDr. Patel is so very knowledgeable and concerned with not only repairing my hearing aid, but also incorporating the app onto my iPhone. She then took time to be sure that I understood how to use it to my advantage.

5.0 star star star star starIn addition to my comments about Ms. Patel relating to my own experience and that of my husband, I am also aware of the extraordinary care and compassion she showed over a number of years to an ailing, aging very close friend of ours during his last difficult years. She showed herself to be a dedicated as well as an extraordinarily compassionate professional.

5.0 star star star star starMali Patel is very knowledgeable about hearing aids, and is good at finding out any adjustments that need to be made. She listens well. It would be hard to know without wearing the hearing aids for awhile how they need to be adjusted. She is very patient, pleasant, and understanding, so I was always happy to meet with her. For me, any extra cost that I incurred vis-a-vis other vendors of hearing aids was worth all the help I got from Mali.

5.0 star star star star starShe gave her time and efforts to do whatever was needed to do so that I would be satisfied with my hearing aids. She kept in contact with me, returned my calls, made time to see me in person, and replaced the painful ear pieces.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
