Overview

Choosing a primary care physician is important for your family’s health and wellness, and for your own. Northwestern Medicine Family Medicine physicians provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages—including preventive medicine and treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, as well as management of chronic disease. Our physicians also provide obstetrics and labor and delivery services.

Working with Northwestern University, the Northwestern McGaw Family Medicine Residency Program at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital allows resident physicians to partner with fully licensed, board-certified Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine faculty, providing comprehensive care for the whole family—from newborns to seniors.

Northwestern Medicine primary care physicians are specialists in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics who serve patients as a first point of contact in health care. Primary care physicians also take ongoing responsibility for a patient’s comprehensive health and well-being, including preventive, chronic, and acute care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
