The Northwestern Medicine Low Grade Glioma Program was established at Northwestern Memorial Hospital to diagnose and treat low grade gliomas. The program leverages the expertise and resources of the hospital’s Neurology and Neurosurgery program, ranked No. 10 in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report, 2023 – 2024.

The Low Grade Glioma Program at the Northwestern Medicine Lou and Jean Malnati Brain Tumor Institute is one of the few clinics in the country that specializes in the care and treatment of low grade gliomas. The compassionate, multidisciplinary specialists at the clinic will take the time to understand you and your needs. They will use their expertise to develop a care plan that is individualized for you.

You may consider care at the Low Grade Glioma Program if you:

• Have a diagnosis or recurrence of a low grade glioma
• Have been told that your brain imaging shows a possible low grade glioma
• Are seeking a second opinion
• Are having seizures
• Have been told surgery is not an option
• Were diagnosed during childhood and need to transition from pediatric to adult care
• Are interested in learning more about research opportunities and available clinical trials
