The Movement Disorders Clinic at Northwestern Medicine is a designated Wilson Disease Center of Excellence*, one of six designated centers world-wide. Patients receive comprehensive diagnosis and treatment from an experienced, multidisciplinary team that includes:

  • Adult and pediatric neurologists
  • Hepatologists (liver specialists)
  • Psychiatrists
  • Transplant surgeons
  • Genetic counselors
  • Social workers
  • Dedicated neurology nurses

We continually improve the quality of patient care in Wilson disease, advance knowledge about the disease, and provide long-term support for patients and their families. We also conduct clinical trials and are developing a Wilson disease database registry.
