Northwestern Medicine technician preparing child for xrayNorthwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is certified by Image Gently®, which means that physicians take the philosophy of being cautious, performing medical imaging tests only when necessary, and using the lowest possible radiation dose.

Lurie Children’s pediatric hospitalists at Central DuPage Hospital, support patients who may require sedation during an imaging procedure. Child life specialists are available to help children who may feel anxious about having images taken, and in most cases, allow these imaging procedures to be done without sedation.
