Symptoms of Urinary Tract Infections

The most common symptoms of a UTI include:

  • Frequent urination
  • Pain or burning when urinating
  • A strong urge to urinate that yields only a small amount of urine
  • Fatigue
  • Urine that is dark, cloudy or reddish, indicating the possible presence of blood
  • Foul-smelling urine
  • Pelvic pain, especially in women
  • Fever
  • Pain in the back or side, below the ribs
  • Nausea and/or vomiting

UTI symptoms can resemble other medical conditions. Always check with your physician if you have symptoms.
