5.0 star star star star starThis was my first time seeing Dr. Freaney. She was kind, thorough, and professional. She answered all of my questions and took her time explaining her rationale for my plan of care, making sure to include me in the process. I was bummed that my previous cardiologist had left Northwestern, but I am very happy that Dr. Freaney is my new one!

5.0 star star star star starFirstly, Dr. Freaney was prompt, polite, professional and knowledgeable as she asked questions relative to my new transfer. I felt comfortable and secure with Dr. Freaney and the information she advised. Secondly, she reiterated information concerning a medication change as well as information requiring feedback to her Nurse.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Freaney is wonderful. She was very patient and listened carefully to my concerns. She didn’t talk down to me as a patient who’s never gone to medical school but she met me where I was as far as knowledge about my issues and general understanding of cardiovascular health. Although we couldn’t make any drastic decisions due to my pregnancy she made me feel hopeful about pursuing preventative care and achieving cardiovascular health and I look forward to seeing her again after I have the baby so we can take more proactive steps and get a better picture about where I stand.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
