1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderOn my first visit, I had an acute problem and that was handled well. On this visit, I felt he did not listen to my concerns and answer my questions adequately. I left feeling frustrated and unsure (based on his responses to me) if he had read completely through my results.

5.0 star star star star starHe was great.. I’m not sure if he felt rushed because of schedules but the 1st time I met him he took his time and explained things. The first was very quick and he just didn’t seem like he had a lot of time. He did ask if I had questions and I didn’t… so it was okay.

5.0 star star star star starI had previously been treated by urology at U.W. Health and found myself to be frequently unsure about the quality of care I was receiving. I had also encountered long waits, a dated facility, and marginal support staff. I am VERY pleased with Dr. Patel and have complete confidence in him. I feel fortunate that I am able to have him as my urologist. He clearly knows what he is doing and relates information in a clear and concise manner. He's eliminated many, many months of uncertainty that I've had regarding my condition. He also has me on a treatment path that may improve the quality of my life.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
