5.0 star star star star starHe took the time to ask questions to clarify my responses. With other doctors I have been told there is nothing they can do and I understand that but made he me feel positive for at least trying to do something and didnt make me feel like an idiot because I want to try.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bonakapour was caring, patient, thorough in his assessment of my needs and presented an overall game plan moving forward addressing all of my needs. His assistant Toon was lovely as well. His entire team of referrals from my previous visit (telehealth) have been helpful as well.

5.0 star star star star starDr. B. was the lead on a team of neuro experts who tested and evaluated my neurological health, to determine if I was suffering from early cognitive impairment (answer: no!). I was so impressed by the team of people who interviewed and tested me. After a couple of months of sleep study, sleep psychologist, neuro psychiatrist, I circled back around to Dr. B. for a final evaluation. I'm happy to report that there were no signs of cognitive impairment, and I am glad that we now have a baseline against which to evaluate my neuro functioning as I move further into old age. (My father was diagnosed with, and died of, Alzheimer's.)

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
