5.0 star star star star starI got my test results the next day and I was upset and scared. I called the office and left a message with questions, I have NEVER had a doctor call me back, it was always a nurse or an assistant, not only did Dr. Patel call me back he spent a great deal of time with me to ensure that everything was going to be fine, I was on the ledge and he got me off of it. He listened, he was compassionate, everything a physician should be, but in my experience with others, not what occurs. I would give Dr. Patel a score of 100 if I could.

5.0 star star star star starDoctor Patel was very engaging and answered all of our questions. My wife [ ]and I felt that as I head into this prostate operation, he has a strong command of the task and gave me a good feel for the expected outcome. Also was pleased that he gave us the time we needed to cover all of the issues. Unlike some of the specialists we have met with in the past, we did not feel rushed or time-limited. That was a very big plus in engaging with Dr. Patel. He gave us the time we needed to understand my upcoming procedure.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
