5.0 star star star star starHe took the time to review the tests his team performed before performing his own analysis. He asked questions to both me and my husband to determine the sig of change that had occurred with my symptoms. He gave my hope that we will get to a diagnosis.

5.0 star star star star starHe is very thorough and a good listener. He provided good insight into my medical issues and offered realistic follow-up recommendations. His "bedside" manner was pleasant which can often be non-existent in today's medical environment.

5.0 star star star star starWow!!! Dr. Zhang is absolutely amazing. I wasn't satisfied with the health care I received from the University of Chicago, and I felt that time was of the essence. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Dr. Zhang because someone cancelled. I found him attentive, straightforward, and very thorough in examining my feet and explaining the numbness I was experiencing. He took the time to calm my fears about the diagnosis. Dr. Zhang ordered an MRI, which I completed Friday in the am. He responded with the test results late that evening on the same day. I am so impressed with the service I've received so far at Northwestern.

5.0 star star star star starI was confident that he formed a good idea of what factors may have contributed to my neuropathy, I was impressed that he rattled off a few things to look at in labs and put in a same-day order for the blood draw; he came up with a tentative plan; we agreed I'd call in a week or so to advise him how the new medication regimen is going; he promised to call me re lab results.

5.0 star star star star starKnowledgeable, helpful, solution-oriented even for idiopathic issues. He gives unique suggestions to help when medicine falls short. He does not treat patients like they are stupid, hysteria-coded (eg blaming anxiety, fibromyalgia), or just another number on the docket. He engages in conversation and answers questions to the full extent. When he cannot help or answer something he isn't afraid to admit it, and he will find someone who can help. Dr Zhang sets an excellent example of what a good doctor should be.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
