5.0 star star star star starDr. Bernstein took more time with me, which was important, explained things much more comprehensively in layman's terms, and was more patient with my questions, and concerns; even when I became slightly off topic. Seemed more personable.

4.0 star star star star star_borderFamiliar with patient info ahead of appointment. Detailed summary of clinical notes. Wish he could have more availability for patient access in Lake Forest Hospital location (took 3+ months for getting a first visit).

5.0 star star star star starDr Bernstein looks at the data and is very thoughtful and thorough in responding to questions. He is familiar with my situation and gives careful guidance. I like the fact that he checks with other doctors (e.g.; cardiologists) that see me. Has an easy going manner.

5.0 star star star star starHe is very patient, very knowledgeable and he made me feel comfortable and it was my first time meeting him. I didn't feel rushed as some physicians are in a hurry. Dr. Bernstein made me trust him with my care in him as my neurologist.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
